Le controversé projet de règlement PR-215, déposé à la MRC de Roussillon par le Maire Pierre-Paul Routhier, à l’insu du Conseil municipal de Châteauguay et malgré l’opposition du Maire de Léry, a été adopté.
Ce point qui, encore une fois, n’apparaissait pas à l’ordre du jour a été ajouté, encore une fois, le jour même de la séance qui se tenait à huit-clos. Une belle preuve de transparence. Pourtant, à la proposition du conseiller municipal Eric Allard, les conseillers de Châteauguay avaient adopté une résolution adressée à la MRC faisant part que la Ville de Châteauguay n’étaient pas d’accord avec le dépôt de l’avis de motion du maire et avaient demandé à la MRC de ne pas traiter le sujet qui devait figurer à l’ordre du jour de son assemblée du 26 août. Silence radio de la part de la MRC à ce propos.
En conclusion, la viabilité du Corridor vert de Châteauguay-Léry est officiellement menacé et laisse entrevoir une destruction massive d’une partie importante des milieux naturels et une perturbation majeure des écosystèmes restants du Corridor vert de Châteauguay-Léry.

The controversial draft by-law PR-215 has been adopted. It was tabled at the MRC de Roussillon by Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier without the consent of the Châteauguay Municipal Council and despite the opposition of the Mayor of Léry.

In conclusion, the viability of the Chateauguay-Léry Green corridor is officially threatened and suggests a massive destruction of a significant part of the natural environment, and a major disruption of the remaining of its ecosystems.
